Names under .org.sg are only available to organisations which are either registered, or in the midst of registering, with the Registry of Societies (ROS). Town Councils, Community Centres, places of worship, Embassies and any any other organisations not classified elsewhere could also apply under this extension. |
SGNIC requires that all new .SG domain names undergo compulsory verification using SingPass.
The verification is to be carried out by the administrative contact of a domain name to verify the identity
and contact information of the registrant.
The administrative contact must, within 21 calendar days from the date of registration, complete the
verification process via the VerifiedID@SG Portal. This can be done by the administrative contact via 2 ways:
1. By clicking on the link in an email that will be sent by SGNIC to the administrative contact’s email; or
2. By going to the VerifiedID@SG portal directly at the following URL: http://verifiedid.sgnic.sg

• Domains can have up to 67 characters, including up to 4 characters in the Top Level
extension. (i.e., .net, .com, or .org)
• Domains can contain, numbers, letters, and hyphens
• Domains cannot contain spaces
• Domains cannot start or end with a hyphen
• Special characters, like the underscore "_", the exclamation mark "!" or the "@" sign, are not
permitted
• Domains are not case sensitive
